Used 2022 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearBarrie, ON

How much does the 2022 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 9.42% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 100 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 4.65/5 vehicle, backed by an expert rating of 7.67/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spacious interior, and useful features like the in-bed trunk and dual-function tailgate. They also highlight the smooth ride and solid value compared with other midsized trucks. On the flip side, some reviewers mention a steep price and touch screen responsiveness issues.

That fits the Ridgeline’s use case well: you want pickup utility, but you care more about everyday comfort, refinement, and easygoing driving than hard-core truck behaviour. With 27.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s also a decent amount of market flexibility.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.65/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centred on comfort, useful features, and a truck that owners feel good about living with over time. The expert evaluation also reinforces that sense of everyday usability, with a refined, easy-to-live-with character and a cabin that feels familiar and well sorted.

Honda’s standard warranty coverage is fairly typical for the segment, and the truck’s mainstream mechanical setup should make long-term ownership straightforward for many buyers. For used shoppers, the main risk is less about complexity and more about whether the truck has been maintained well and whether its transmission behaviour suits you.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport is the base trim, while the EX-L, Touring, and Black Edition add more equipment and a more upscale feel. The base trim misses some convenience and comfort features that show up higher up the range.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-litre V6, a nine-speed automatic transmission, and standard all-wheel drive. The engine is smooth and strong enough for everyday use, but the transmission can feel slow to respond.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard, with automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. In Canada, automatic high beams and blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert are also standard. A 360-degree camera is not included.
• Infotainment: The system uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth. SiriusXM is not available on the base Sport, and navigation is reserved for the Touring and Black Edition.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 11.5 L/100 km combined, with 12.8 L/100 km in the city and 9.9 L/100 km on the highway.

Which 2022 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, Touring, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Ridgeline’s core strengths: standard AWD, the V6, Honda Sensing, and the same basic truck utility. It makes sense if you want the least expensive way into the model and can live without the extra comfort and convenience features.
• EX-L: This is the best-value trim for most buyers because it adds a more premium feel without pushing too far up the price ladder. It’s the sweet spot if you want the Ridgeline’s comfort and practicality to feel properly equipped.
• Touring: Choose this if you want more convenience and a more upscale experience, including navigation. It suits you if you plan to spend lots of time in the truck and want a richer feature set.
• Black Edition: This is the most distinctive and fully equipped version, with the most upscale presentation and the strongest feature content. It’s the one to choose if you want the top trim and don’t mind paying for it.

Honda Sensing is standard across the range, so you’re not forced into a higher trim just to get the core safety suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 100 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.42% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $39,621 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $40,523 CAD sits slightly below last year's $44,739 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also suggests future sellers may face a more competitive market if values continue to ease. If you buy now, your resale outcome will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the truck has been maintained. Models with strong demand and broad appeal tend to hold up better, and this Ridgeline’s practical, comfort-focused reputation should help support interest over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.65/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The Ridgeline received top “Good” scores in most Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash tests, but received a lower “Average” score in the passenger-side small overlap frontal test. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave Honda’s truck a five-star overall safety rating, with five stars in frontal and side crash tests, and four stars in rollover crash testing.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard, and it includes automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. In Canada, automatic high beams and blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert are also standard. A 360-degree camera is not included.

The lower IIHS passenger-side small overlap result is the main caveat to keep in mind, even though the overall safety picture is still strong.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.65/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It carries over the refined, comfort-first Ridgeline formula with no major changes.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $37,182 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $40,523 CAD average.
• It adds a more truck-like appearance while keeping the Ridgeline’s comfort and practicality.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $44,173 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $40,523 CAD average.
• It keeps the Ridgeline’s practical, everyday-friendly character with strong usability.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the right pick if you want the Ridgeline’s refined ride, strong owner satisfaction, and current-market pricing without paying more for a newer year. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want to spend more for a newer example, the 2023 is the natural step up.
