Used 2022 Honda Ridgeline for Sale near Alberta

How much does the 2022 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 9.69% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 111 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.6/5, and our experts score it 7.7/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spacious interior, smooth ride, and useful features like the in-bed trunk and dual-function tailgate. The Ridgeline also stands out for its refined, car-like driving feel and solid value compared with other midsized trucks.

The trade-offs are its irritating transmission and outdated technology. It fits you best if you want pickup utility without giving up everyday comfort and easygoing road manners.

There are 31.5% good or great deals in the market, which gives you some room to find a well-priced example.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centred on comfort, a spacious cabin, and useful everyday features. The truck’s refined, long-term appeal is reinforced by its smooth ride and the way owners continue to count on its practical design.

Its powertrain and overall setup are proven, but used buyers should still watch for signs of wear in the transmission and infotainment system, since those are the main ownership concerns that come up repeatedly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport is the base trim, while EX-L, Touring, and Black Edition add more comfort and convenience equipment. The base trim misses some features that appear higher up the range, so you should compare equipment carefully if you want a better-equipped truck.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-litre V6 with a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. It has plenty of power for everyday use, but the transmission can feel slow to respond.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. In Canada, automatic high beams and blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert are also standard, but there is no 360-degree camera system.
• Infotainment: The Ridgeline uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth. SiriusXM is available on all but the base Sport trim, and navigation is included on Touring and Black Edition. The system is easy to use, but it feels dated.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 11.5 L/100 km combined, with 12.8 L/100 km in the city and 9.9 L/100 km on the highway.

Which 2022 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, Touring, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Ridgeline’s core comfort and utility at the lowest price, but you should expect fewer convenience features than the higher trims.
• EX-L: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it adds a stronger mix of comfort and everyday usability without jumping all the way to the top of the range.
• Touring: Choose this if you want more premium equipment and built-in navigation, along with a more upscale feel.
• Black Edition: This is the most distinctive and fully equipped version, with the richest appearance and the most premium presentation.

Honda Sensing is standard across the range, and Canadian models also get automatic high beams plus blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 111 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.69% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $39,626 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $40,186 CAD sits slightly below last year's $44,495 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Ridgeline has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help keep demand steady if you decide to sell later. Because the model has a loyal audience that values comfort and practicality, well-kept examples should remain appealing to shoppers who want a truck that drives more like an SUV.

For future sellers, the key is presentation and condition. A clean history, strong maintenance records, and desirable equipment should help your listing stand out in a market where buyers are still comparing value carefully.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline received top “Good” scores in most IIHS crash tests, but it received a lower “Average” score in the passenger-side small overlap frontal test. It also earned a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, with five stars in frontal and side crash tests and four stars in rollover crash testing.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. In Canada, automatic high beams and blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert are also standard.

The main caveat is the lower IIHS result in the passenger-side small overlap frontal test, plus the lack of a 360-degree camera system.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the Ridgeline’s refined, comfort-first formula with strong practicality and everyday usability.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $37,515 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $40,186 CAD average.
• It adds a more truck-like appearance and keeps the Ridgeline’s comfort and useful packaging.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $43,699 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $40,186 CAD average.
• It leans even harder into practicality and everyday usability.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, comfort, and proven appeal, the 2022 is the sensible pick. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2021 can save you money while keeping much of the same core appeal.
