Used 2024 Honda Ridgeline for SaleNationwide

How much does the 2024 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 6.82% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 128 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — owners give it 5/5, and our experts score it 7.3/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spaciousness, and user-friendly features, and they also like its attractive pricing compared with other trucks. The Ridgeline’s practical layout and easy-to-live-with character come through clearly in the feedback, especially if you want truck utility without a demanding driving experience.

The main trade-offs are its unimpressive towing capacity and limited off-roading capability. In other words, it suits you best if you value everyday usability, comfort, and practicality more than hard-core truck credentials.

With the Ridgeline’s unibody crew-cab, short-bed layout and daily-driver focus, it makes the most sense for buyers who want a truck that feels approachable. 25.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it in ways that point to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with strong praise for its comfort and practicality supporting that impression. The expert review also highlights its robust V6 engine and easy-to-live-with nature, which reinforces the sense that it is built for long-term use.

Honda’s standard maintenance coverage adds another ownership-friendly touch. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Ridgeline’s age shows in some areas, so you should pay close attention to wear, tech behaviour, and overall condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Ridgeline?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2024 Ridgeline comes in Sport, TrailSport, and Black Edition. The Sport gets the core updates, including the new 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, and the standard Honda Sensing suite with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. TrailSport adds an off-road suspension, all-terrain tyres, and underbody protection, while Black Edition adds extra USB ports, HD Radio, and an eight-speaker premium sound system.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a 3.5-litre V6 with 280 horsepower, a nine-speed automatic transmission, and i-VTM4 all-wheel drive. The engine is smooth and strong for daily use, but the transmission can be irritating, and the truck’s towing and off-road limits are worth keeping in mind.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist with road departure mitigation, lane-centring assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard on the Sport. The package is broad, but the system can feel intrusive at times.
• Infotainment: Every Ridgeline gets a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, HondaLink connected services, and a 7-inch digital display in the gauge cluster. The Black Edition adds extra USB ports and an eight-speaker premium audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada rating is 11.6 L/100 km combined driving, or 11.5 L/100 km for non-TrailSport models.

Which 2024 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 3 trim levels: Sport, TrailSport, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the best-value trim because it gets the full infotainment upgrade, wireless smartphone integration, wireless charging, and the standard safety suite, including blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. If you want the Ridgeline’s core strengths without paying for extras, this is the one to start with.
• TrailSport: Choose this if you want the new off-road-focused hardware, including the off-road suspension, all-terrain tyres, and underbody protection. It is the right pick if you like the idea of a more rugged-looking Ridgeline and expect to spend more time on rougher surfaces.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale version, with extra USB ports, HD Radio, and an eight-speaker premium sound system. It makes sense if you want the most feature-rich Ridgeline and are willing to pay for it.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, and the Sport now benefits from the same major tech upgrades as the pricier trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Ridgeline?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 25.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 128 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.82% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,444 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $47,840 CAD sits slightly below last year's $51,340 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Ridgeline is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. For a future seller, that means you may not see the same pricing strength that existed last year, especially if market conditions stay soft.

Even so, the Ridgeline’s practical appeal and strong owner satisfaction should help support demand. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment and clean histories should remain easier to move than less appealing trucks.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2024 Ridgeline earns an Acceptable instead of Good score in the small overlap frontal-impact test from IIHS, and the IIHS rates its headlights as Marginal. It also earns five-star ratings across the board from NHTSA except for rollover resistance, where it scores a four-star rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist with road departure mitigation, lane-centring assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard on the Sport.

The main caveat is that the driver-assistance tech can feel a bit intrusive, and the IIHS headlight result is a weak point. Still, the Ridgeline’s overall safety package is broad and its NHTSA results are strong.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 25.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.82% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• This year adds a new TrailSport trim, updated tech, and a fresher cabin.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $43,490 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $47,840 CAD average.
• It is especially appealing as a daily driver with strong practicality.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $51,628 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $47,840 CAD average.
• It keeps the Ridgeline’s easy-to-live-with, comfortable character.

The bottom line: If you want the most updated Ridgeline, the 2024 is the better primary choice because it adds meaningful tech and trim updates without losing the truck’s core strengths. If price matters most, the 2023 remains the value play, while the 2025 is the pricier route for buyers who want the newer model-year listing.
