Its available features and powertrain choices are aimed at buyers who need a truck that can handle demanding tasks with confidence. Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right truck.

• Deal availability: 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 83 listings available.

If you find a listing below $63,624 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD's resale value?

The current average of $65,031 CAD sits slightly below last year's $66,884 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests buyers have a bit more leverage today than they did a year ago, which can matter if you plan to sell later. If the market stays steady, a truck bought near the lower end of the current range may give you a better chance of limiting depreciation. The Silverado 3500HD's heavy-duty capability and work-focused appeal should help keep it relevant with the right buyers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD or consider a different year?

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with serious towing and payload capability, the 2022 Silverado 3500HD is the primary year to target. If you're more price-sensitive, you can also use the current market softness to shop patiently and focus on the best-equipped example within your budget.
