Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $35,530 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $39,913 CAD average.
• It leans on strong brand loyalty and big rebates.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $45,396 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $39,913 CAD average.
• It adds Duramax power upgrades and a new ZR2 Bison off-road configuration.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want the refreshed cabin and modern tech without stepping up to the pricier 2023. If your budget is tighter, the 2021 is the value play, especially if you can live with its older feel.
