Used 2022 Chevrolet Equinox for Sale nearVancouver, BC

How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox cost?

Prices have softened 13.39% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 410 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 6.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, fuel efficiency, and spaciousness, and many also like the smooth ride and modern features. That lines up with the Equinox’s role as a practical compact crossover for buyers who want an easygoing daily driver with a proven formula rather than the newest design in the segment. It is especially appealing if you value comfort, space, and straightforward usability over flash.

Only 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful shopping.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise for its comfort and value helping reinforce that impression. From an expert perspective, the Equinox’s proven powertrain and long-running platform support the sense that it is built for steady everyday use. Chevy’s warranty coverage also helps reduce early ownership worry.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that age and competition may make it feel less advanced than newer rivals, even if it remains a sensible choice.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Equinox?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The RS trim adds black exterior trim, darkened 19-inch wheels, a black interior with red stitching, and a model-specific shift knob, while most trim levels get cloth seats as standard equipment and perforated leather upholstery is available. If you want the most personality, the RS is the one to inspect closely.
• Powertrain: You get a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and standard front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive. It has strong low-speed torque, but it can feel coarse and less eager at higher speeds.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian braking, forward collision warning, following distance indicator, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and Chevy’s Teen Driver system. Optional features include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-change alert, a surround-view camera system, front and rear park assist, and automatic parking assist.
• Infotainment: Standard equipment includes a 7-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a built-in 4G LTE WiFi hotspot. Higher trim levels get an 8-inch touchscreen and a 4.2-inch instrument-cluster screen, and navigation plus a Bose 7-speaker audio system are available.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 8.4 L/100 km combined with front-wheel drive and 8.8 L/100 km combined with all-wheel drive.

Which 2022 Chevrolet Equinox trim should I buy?

The 2022 Chevrolet Equinox is offered in 3 trim levels: LS, LT, Premier.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Equinox without chasing extras. It gives you the core Equinox experience, but you should expect fewer convenience and appearance upgrades than the higher trims.
• LT: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it sits in the middle of the range and is the most balanced place to shop for features and price. If you want a used Equinox that feels well equipped without stretching to the top trim, this is the one to focus on.
• Premier: This is the trim to consider if you want the most upscale version of the Equinox and are willing to pay for it. It is the top trim, so it is the one to inspect if you want the fullest feature set.

Safety content notes that some features, including adaptive cruise control, are standard on competitor vehicles, so compare equipment carefully if driver assistance matters to you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Equinox?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 410 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.39% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $22,315 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $22,344 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,798 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Equinox has become easier to buy used, which can also mean future sellers may face more competition when it is time to list. If prices stay under pressure, resale values may remain more sensitive to condition, mileage, and trim level. Well-equipped examples should still hold up better than bare-bones versions because they appeal to a wider pool of shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox safe?

The 2022 Equinox received top “Good” scores in most Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) crash tests, but received a “Marginal” rating in the updated side crash test. It earns five-star ratings from NHTSA overall, with five-star ratings in frontal and side crash tests and four-star ratings in rollover crash tests.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assist and safety features include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian braking, forward collision warning, following distance indicator, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and Chevy’s Teen Driver system. Optional features include a Safety Alert Seat, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-change alert, a surround-view camera system, front and rear park assist, and automatic parking assist.

The Marginal side-crash result is the main caveat to keep in mind if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 adds revised styling, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and available park-assist features.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $24,912 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $22,344 CAD average.
• It adds a little extra power and a more sophisticated braking system.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2022 is the smarter buy because it combines lower pricing with strong owner satisfaction and useful tech updates. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer-year improvements, the 2023 is worth a look.
