The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable and trouble-free for many shoppers, with the third-generation Equinox carrying a better reputation for long-term ownership than earlier versions. This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 304 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.28% compared with last year.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $17,819 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,805 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Equinox easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key advantage is that the model’s practical reputation and broad appeal should help keep demand steady. The strongest resale prospects will likely go to well-kept examples with clean history and desirable equipment.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.24/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.24/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a roomy, practical compact SUV with strong value and a market that currently favours shoppers, the 2020 is a sensible pick. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may also want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-priced, best-maintained example rather than the newest one available.
