Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Equinox?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 345 listings available.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $16,207 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,968 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at the right number now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. The Equinox’s strong owner satisfaction should help support demand when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 Equinox is the better path if you want a well-liked compact SUV with a softer used-market price and a good mix of comfort and practicality. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2019’s stronger satisfaction signal and updated feature set.
