How much does the 2021 Toyota Camry cost?

Is the 2021 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Toyota Camry earns a 4.65/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise the smooth ride, great handling, stylish design, fuel efficiency, and reliable performance. That lines up well with the Camry’s role as a practical midsize sedan for buyers who want something easy to live with every day. Even with its broad appeal, it still offers enough driving enjoyment to stand out from the usual appliance-like family sedan.

Only 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market looks selective rather than especially bargain-heavy.

Is the 2021 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 4.65/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to reliable performance, and the expert evaluation also highlights Toyota’s dependable reputation and long-standing reliability advantage. The Camry’s reputation for being trouble-free and easy to count on is reinforced by its practical design and broad appeal to long-term owners.

Toyota also backs the car with a three-year, 60,000 km basic warranty and a five-year, 100,000 km powertrain warranty. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about outright fragility and more about finding a well-kept example with the features and condition you want.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Toyota Camry?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE and XLE use a cleaner grille, while the SE and XSE add more aggressive styling but also more visual clutter from fake vents. The base LE rides on 16-inch steel wheels, while other models move to alloy wheels, and the TRD package adds unique styling elements such as a larger rear spoiler.
• Powertrain: You can choose a 2.5-litre four-cylinder, a 3.5-litre V6, or a hybrid powertrain. The four-cylinder is the most common setup, the V6 is the strongest performer, and the hybrid is the efficiency play.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, and traffic-sign recognition. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard on the XLE and XSE, but optional on the LE and SE.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth. Higher trims can add a 9-inch touchscreen, navigation, SiriusXM, and a nine-speaker JBL audio system, while XSE and XLE can also get a 10-inch head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The four-cylinder LE and SE are rated at 7.4 L/100 km combined with FWD and 8.2 L/100 km combined with AWD. The V6 is rated at 9.0 L/100 km combined in XLE form, while the hybrid posts the lowest available combined figure at 4.9 L/100 km.

Which 2021 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2021 Toyota Camry is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, SE, XSE, XLE.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value-focused choice if you want the Camry’s core strengths without paying for extras. It gives you the standard 7-inch touchscreen, Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+, and the cleanest entry point into the lineup.
• SE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a sportier look and still keeps the Camry’s everyday practicality intact. If you want a more expressive Camry without jumping too far up the price ladder, this is the one to target.
• XSE: This trim adds more upscale equipment and can be paired with the stronger V6 or available premium tech, making it a good fit if you want a more polished and better-equipped Camry.
• XLE: This is the comfort-leaning choice, with the most upscale feel in the standard lineup and standard blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ is standard across the lineup, while blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard on XLE and XSE, but optional on LE and SE.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Toyota Camry?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should still compare listings carefully before moving quickly.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 108 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.17% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,729 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $24,226 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,381 CAD.

That softer pricing trend can work in your favour if you buy now, but it also means future resale gains may be more gradual than they were a year ago. If you plan to sell later, the Camry’s broad appeal should help keep demand steady, especially because shoppers continue to value reliability, efficiency, and practicality in this segment. A well-kept example with desirable equipment should remain easier to move than a less popular sedan.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.65/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Toyota Camry safe?

The 2021 Toyota Camry earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and five-star ratings in front, side, and rollover crash tests from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, and traffic-sign recognition. Rear Seat Reminder is also standard on all trim levels. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard on XLE and XSE, but optional on LE and SE.

Should I buy a 2021 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.65/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds upgraded Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ and broader trim and powertrain choice.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $24,040 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $24,226 CAD average.
• It brings back all-wheel drive and adds the TRD package for a sportier V6 option.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $26,410 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $24,226 CAD average.
• It keeps the Camry’s roomy, reliable, efficient formula with a more style-forward appeal.

The bottom line: The 2021 is the best all-around pick if you want the strongest mix of value, safety, and everyday usability. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2020 can make sense for its lower average price and AWD availability, while the 2022 is worth considering if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling alternative.
