Generally — the 2021 Kia Soul earns a 4.33/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Kia Soul?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 173 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.81% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,528 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Kia Soul's resale value?

The current average of $16,158 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,968 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make future resale a little more challenging if values keep easing. On the other hand, the current gap between the year-ago average and today’s pricing may help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle. If demand stays steady, a distinctive model with practical appeal can still hold attention better than a more anonymous rival.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Kia Soul or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $15,165 CAD, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $16,158 CAD average.
• It offers a distinctive, roomy cabin with easy-to-use technology.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year pricing context and a strong satisfaction signal, the 2021 is the better starting point. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2020 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the Soul’s core practicality.
