Is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, smooth ride, and spacious interior, and many also like the luxury features and advanced technology. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a practical three-row midsize SUV with seating for eight, family-friendly access to the third row, and a cabin that feels more premium than basic. With 34.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free experience for many shoppers, especially around comfort, performance, and everyday usability. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle has been well maintained and still feels solid in day-to-day driving.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without waiting forever for the right listing.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 120 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.69% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,200 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $21,432 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,420 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger hit later. The Pathfinder’s broad appeal as a three-row family SUV should still support steady demand, especially for well-kept examples with strong equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of value, comfort, and family-friendly utility, the 2020 is the one to focus on first. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2020 gives you a strong balance of features and market value.
