Is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, smooth ride, and spacious interior, and many also like the luxury features and advanced technology. That fits well if you want a practical three-row midsize SUV with seating for eight, family-friendly access to the third row, and a cabin that feels more premium than older versions. Is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 117 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.76% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,202 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $21,443 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,157 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Pathfinder has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer market than before. If you buy at today’s average, there may be less room for appreciation later unless demand strengthens. Even so, a well-kept example with the right equipment and strong presentation should still appeal to family buyers looking for space and capability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of value, comfort, and family-friendly utility, the 2020 Pathfinder is the stronger buy when you can find a clean, well-priced example. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2020 stands out for shoppers who want a more modern-feeling cabin and solid owner approval.
