Used 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee for Sale nearOakville, ON

How much does the 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee cost?

Prices have softened 13.56% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 558 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee earns a 4.58/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, performance, and luxurious features, and they also value the powerful engines and ride quality. The Grand Cherokee’s stylish design and off-road capability are central to its appeal, and it suits you well if you want a traditional SUV character rather than a crossover-like feel.

The trade-offs are clear: advanced safety features are not standard, and value for money is a weak point. Even so, the market still shows 32.3% of listings as good or great deals, which helps offset some of those concerns.

Is the 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.58/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many buyers, with owners often describing the Grand Cherokee as something they can count on over time. The expert test drive also highlights its traditional SUV character and durable, go-anywhere personality.

The cost-effectiveness commentary notes that the Grand Cherokee’s value is strongest when you need its off-road capability or high-performance variants. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that upkeep can be less forgiving if you expect crossover-like running costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Grand Cherokee’s equipment spread matters because advanced safety features are not standard, and higher trim levels add more of the premium content and lighting upgrades that improve day-to-day usability.
• Powertrain: The standard setup is a 295-horsepower, 3.6-litre V6 with an eight-speed automatic, while V8 options add more torque and performance if you want stronger acceleration.
• Safety package: ProTech I is standard and includes a reversing camera, parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. ProTech II adds low-speed forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Advanced ProTech II adds full-speed forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, semi-autonomous parking assist, and rain-sensing wipers.
• Infotainment: In Limited X trim, Uconnect includes an 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM satellite radio connected services. A 4G LTE WiFi data plan is available, and some versions can be equipped with premium audio.
• Fuel efficiency: The standard V6 returned 11.3 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving, while the test vehicle recorded 12.1 L/100 km.

Which 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee trim should I buy?

The 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee is offered in 12 trim levels: Laredo, Limited X, Summit, SRT, Trackhawk, Trailhawk, and the eight additional variants referenced in the model description.

Here's the short version:

• Laredo: This is the entry point, but the available information suggests you should only choose it if you want the Grand Cherokee’s core styling and capability at the lowest starting point.
• Limited X: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the 8.4-inch Uconnect system with navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a more upscale feel without jumping into the most expensive versions.
• Trailhawk: Choose this if off-road use matters most, since it is the most off-road capable version mentioned and comes with all-terrain tires, skid plates, and Jeep’s most capable 4WD system.
• SRT: This is the performance-focused choice if you want serious power and track-oriented capability.
• Trackhawk: This is the extreme performance model, with supercharged V8 power and the most dramatic acceleration in the lineup.
• Summit: Pick this if you want the more luxurious end of the range, but be aware that the expert review notes hard-plastic disappointment becomes more noticeable as prices climb.

The safety package note is important: ProTech I is standard on all trim levels, while ProTech II and Advanced ProTech II are reserved for higher equipment levels.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 558 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.56% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,467 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $26,467 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,618 CAD.

That price decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Grand Cherokee more attractive to used buyers today. For a future seller, that also means resale upside may be more limited unless your vehicle is especially well equipped or in standout condition.

The model’s broad appeal helps support demand, especially because buyers value its comfort, performance, and off-road capability. Still, the same factors that make it desirable can also narrow the audience if fuel economy, safety equipment, or running costs matter more to the next owner.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.58/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee safe?

The 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA. In tests conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, it earns a Marginal rating for driver protection and a Poor rating for front passenger protection in the small overlap frontal-impact test.

It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep offers three ADAS packages for this model. ProTech I is standard on all trim levels and includes a reversing camera, parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. ProTech II adds low-speed forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Advanced ProTech II adds full-speed forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, semi-autonomous parking assist, and rain-sensing wipers.

The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, and the crash-test results are a weak point for a vehicle in this class.

Should I buy a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.58/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the familiar, capable Grand Cherokee formula without a major redesign.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $29,691 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $26,467 CAD average.
• It is the final version before the redesigned model arrives.

The 2020 is the better pick if you want the lower price and the established Grand Cherokee formula. If you can stretch for a newer model and want the last year before the redesign, the 2021 is the cleaner alternative for buyers who are less price-sensitive.
