Should I buy a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.28/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $39,683 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $38,114 CAD average.
• It adds an optional carbon-fibre composite cargo bed.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2020 if you want the better value and a wider chance of finding a deal. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model-year alternative with a few added touches, the 2021 is the secondary path to consider.
