Is the 2020 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

Generally — the 2020 Chevrolet Trax earns 4.25/5 from users, and its appeal is easy to see if you want a compact, budget-friendly subcompact SUV that is simple to manoeuvre in the city. Chevrolet also gave it a practical mix of equipment for the price, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen, heated front seats, and available safety and convenience upgrades on higher trims. If you want an affordable small crossover with a higher seating position and useful everyday packaging, this model year fits that brief well. 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

Owners rate it 4.25/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2020 Trax’s value proposition leans more toward practicality and affordability than outright sophistication, so long-term ownership risk is mostly about whether its modest performance and feature set match your expectations. If you want a simple, city-friendly used SUV and you inspect it carefully, it can make sense as a lower-cost ownership choice.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Trax?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 91 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.54% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,188 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $16,214 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,753 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Trax has softened in the used market, which can make it easier for you to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the current trend points to a vehicle that is holding to a practical value band rather than climbing in demand. If you buy at the right price, you may reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.25/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.25/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 Trax makes the most sense if you want a value-focused, city-friendly small SUV with a useful feature set and you can find one priced near the lower end of the market. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, this year is worth a close look; if you want to compare for the best overall value, you can also keep nearby model years in play and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example.
