Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Trax?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 92 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.37% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,191 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $16,357 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,881 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Trax has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If the market continues to favour shoppers, resale values may remain under pressure unless a vehicle is especially well kept or attractively equipped.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.25/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.25/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the Trax with the strongest value proposition and a good mix of features for the money, the 2020 model is the one to focus on. If your priority is simply finding the lowest entry price, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2020 stands out as the better all-around pick for shoppers who want a practical, city-friendly SUV with decent equipment and a softer market price.
