The owner feedback also highlights reliability, dependable performance, and a trouble-free ownership experience, which is exactly what many used-car shoppers want from a Corolla. Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Toyota Corolla?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 358 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.60% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,419 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Toyota Corolla's resale value?

The current average of $17,675 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,552 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more attractive level today, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. For a seller, the current trend suggests you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history rather than broad market momentum. Strong demand for practical, efficient compact cars should still help keep the Corolla competitive when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.56/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Toyota Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.56/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,638 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $17,675 CAD average.
• It adds a more stylish and enjoyable character.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2019 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and decent deal availability. If you are willing to pay more for a newer feel and a bit more style, the 2020 is the better secondary path.
