Drivers consistently praise its affordability, reliability, and excellent gas mileage. The user feedback also highlights strong safety features and ease of use, which fits a car that is meant to be a straightforward everyday choice. The owner feedback specifically points to reliability, and it also describes the Corolla as dependable and easy to live with. For a used buyer, the main long-term ownership risk is usually less about character and more about finding a well-maintained example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Toyota Corolla?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting deep discounts on every listing.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 391 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,418 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Toyota Corolla's resale value?

The current average of $17,851 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,446 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. For a seller, the current trend suggests you should not expect the same pricing strength that was available a year ago. Even so, the Corolla’s broad appeal and practical reputation should help it remain easy to move when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Toyota Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,373 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $17,851 CAD average.
• It adds a more stylish and enjoyable character.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the better value if you want the Corolla’s core strengths at a lower entry price, especially if you are shopping carefully for a deal. If you are willing to pay more for a newer feel and a bit more style, the 2020 is the better secondary path.
