Should I buy a 2019 Toyota Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.85% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,528 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $17,885 CAD average.
• It adds a more stylish and enjoyable character.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and a proven ownership record. If you are willing to spend more for a fresher-feeling design and a bit more personality, the 2020 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2019 remains the smarter buy.
