Is the 2019 Mazda MAZDA3 a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 5/5, which points to strong overall satisfaction. That lines up well with the model’s appeal as a compact car that feels more premium and suits you if you want style, technology, and driving enjoyment in one package. Is the 2019 Mazda MAZDA3 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable and trouble-free in everyday use, with the kind of comfort and refinement that helps it hold up well over time. The broader model description also suggests it has a solid reputation for long-term ownership, even if some drivers have noted a few comfort-related drawbacks.

For used buyers, that means the main ownership risk is less about widespread mechanical concern and more about checking that the specific car has been cared for properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Mazda MAZDA3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 225 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.01% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,668 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Mazda MAZDA3's resale value?

The current average of $17,955 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,734 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a good entry point for you as a buyer, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about expectations if the market stays competitive. A lower current average can support demand now, yet it can also limit upside if you plan to resell in the near term. The upside is that the model’s strong owner satisfaction and premium feel can help it remain appealing to used-car shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Mazda MAZDA3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, owner satisfaction, and a premium-feeling compact car, the 2019 is the one to focus on. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower-priced example better fits your budget, but the 2019 already looks like a sensible target if you find a well-priced listing.
