Is the 2019 Subaru Impreza a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Subaru Impreza earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which lines up with its practical compact-car appeal. The overview points to standard all-wheel drive, a comfortable ride, and a fun-to-drive character, so it makes sense if you want a small car that feels secure in poor weather and easy to live with every day. It also comes well equipped for the class, with features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto across all trims, plus available comfort and safety upgrades. 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile options in the market.

Is the 2019 Subaru Impreza reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests the Impreza’s appeal comes from its practical design, standard all-wheel drive, and comfortable ride rather than flashy extras. For used buyers, that usually points to a car that can make sense for everyday ownership if you value predictable usability and all-weather confidence. Long-term ownership risk should stay manageable if you choose a well-maintained example and stay on top of routine service.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Subaru Impreza?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find a solid example.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 123 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.06% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,313 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Subaru Impreza's resale value?

The current average of $15,319 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,620 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the right price, you reduce the chance of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want a well-equipped compact car with standard all-wheel drive and a softer used-market price than it had a year ago. If you are especially price-sensitive, it is still worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a lower-priced example gives you similar equipment and condition for less money.
