Is the 2019 Subaru Impreza a good car?

Yes — 4.67/5 is a strong user rating for a compact car that prioritises standard all-wheel drive, everyday usability, and improved ride quality. The 2019 Impreza’s standard AWD, added chassis rigidity, lower centre of gravity, and broad tech features make it especially appealing if you want a practical small car with extra confidence in poor weather. Its straightforward setup and useful standard equipment help it fit well as an affordable daily driver. With 31.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2019 Subaru Impreza reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2019 Impreza’s appeal comes from its simple, proven formula: a 2.0-litre boxer engine, standard all-wheel drive, and a platform that improved rigidity and ride quality. It also adds useful everyday features such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, cruise control, and incline-start assist, which supports a low-stress ownership experience. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the car has been maintained properly, especially if you plan to keep it for many years.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Subaru Impreza?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 133 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.58% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,401 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Subaru Impreza's resale value?

The current average of $15,401 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,030 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price carefully to stay competitive. The Impreza’s standard all-wheel drive and practical feature set should help it remain appealing to shoppers who value all-weather confidence. If demand stays steady, well-kept examples should continue to attract attention, especially when priced in line with the market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 Impreza is a smart pick if you want standard all-wheel drive, useful tech, and a practical compact car that feels more polished than earlier versions. If your priority is value, the 2019 makes sense as a primary target; if you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower-priced listing offers similar equipment and condition.
