Is the 2019 RAM 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the smooth ride, powerful engine, and spacious, well-appointed interior. That fits especially well if you want a full-size pickup that feels more like a roomy family vehicle than a bare-bones work truck. The owner feedback also points to a truck that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its smooth ride and powerful engine. Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 RAM 1500?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,447 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.03% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,202 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $27,325 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,713 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger hit later. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, especially for well-kept trucks with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $31,251 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $27,325 CAD average.
• The EcoDiesel returns across the lineup.

The bottom line: Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and a well-liked, refined full-size truck. Consider the 2020 if you specifically want the diesel option and are willing to pay more for it.
