Is the 2019 RAM 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 2019 RAM 1500 earns a 4.73/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, powerful engine, and spacious, well-appointed interior. Is the 2019 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.73/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a truck that many people find dependable and easy to live with over time, especially because of its smooth ride and strong power delivery. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk looks manageable, but a thorough inspection still matters.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 RAM 1500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,426 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.92% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,144 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $27,147 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,176 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now. For future resale, it also means your upside may be more limited if prices stay near current levels. Even so, the truck’s strong owner satisfaction should help support demand when you eventually sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.73/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.73/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $31,363 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $27,147 CAD average.
• The EcoDiesel returns across the trim range.

The bottom line: Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and a well-liked, upscale full-size truck. If you are willing to pay more for the diesel option and a newer model year, the 2020 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritise that powertrain.
