Is the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Generally — the 4.3/5 user rating suggests you’re looking at a well-liked three-row SUV. The 2019 Pathfinder’s overview points to a comfort-focused, family-friendly role, with three rows of seating, a spacious cabin, available all-wheel drive, and a towing capacity of up to 2,720 kilograms. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want a practical family hauler with room, comfort, and useful capability rather than a sportier or more fuel-efficient choice. 25.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview also notes that earlier fourth-generation models were affected by CVT concerns, so a careful test drive and maintenance review still matter. For used buyers, that means the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the vehicle you choose has been maintained properly and drives as it should.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 25.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 221 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.06% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,941 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $17,995 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,231 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned to soften the impact of future depreciation. Demand should remain supported by the Pathfinder’s family-friendly layout and practical capability.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 25.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 Pathfinder is the better fit if you want a roomy, comfortable three-row SUV with strong towing ability and you can take advantage of the softer pricing. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2019 stands out as a sensible buy when you find one with good maintenance history and the right equipment for your needs.
