How much does the 2019 Nissan Altima cost?

Is the 2019 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Nissan Altima earns a 4.88/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its smooth drive, advanced tech features, and stylish design, and many also highlight the comfortable seating and responsive handling. For you, that means this model fits well if you want a quiet, comfortable midsize sedan with a strong equipment list and standard all-wheel drive in Canada. With 31.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful value to be found.

Is the 2019 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 4.88/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centred on the car’s smooth operation and overall confidence over time. That kind of response suggests the Altima can be a sensible used buy if you want something you can count on for regular commuting and family use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright reliability and more about finding a well-kept example with the features and condition you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Nissan Altima?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 61 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.63% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,249 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $16,868 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,306 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at a strong price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger hit later. The Altima’s broad appeal, standard all-wheel drive, and strong owner satisfaction should help support demand, even if the current pricing trend is softer than it was a year ago.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,558 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $16,868 CAD average.
• It adds multiple powertrain options and easy-to-use technology.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and a strong mix of comfort, safety, and standard all-wheel drive. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model year with broader powertrain choice, the 2020 is the secondary path, but price-sensitive buyers should start with the 2019.
