This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find worthwhile options.

• Inventory: There are 332 listings available.

What is the 2019 Mazda CX-5's resale value?

The current average of $21,537 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,087 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices continue to ease. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Mazda CX-5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $22,850 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $21,537 CAD average.
• It leans more into a premium feel with a more upscale presentation.

The bottom line:
The 2019 is the better value play if you want the CX-5’s polished driving feel and strong owner approval at a lower average price. If you can stretch your budget and want a newer model with a more premium-leaning presentation, the 2020 is the secondary path to consider.
