Is the 2019 Lexus RX a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its comfort, luxurious features, and smooth ride, and many also value the all-wheel drive and the reliability it delivers. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a polished luxury SUV that prioritises refinement over flashier performance. With 36.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Lexus RX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights reliability, dependability, and a trouble-free ownership experience, which aligns with the RX’s reputation for being a vehicle you can count on over the long term. That matters if you want a luxury SUV that should be easier to live with than many rivals. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about mechanical drama and more about finding one that has been maintained well and still feels fresh inside.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Lexus RX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 111 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.42% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,855 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $34,411 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,169 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour as a buyer, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about expectations. If the market has already adjusted downward, resale gains are less likely to come from price appreciation and more from keeping the vehicle in strong condition. A well-kept RX should still appeal to shoppers who value comfort and reliability, which helps support demand over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $40,073 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $34,411 CAD average.
• It adds hybrid efficiency and a choice of two-row or three-row seating.

The bottom line: Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and are focused on comfort, reliability, and lower upfront cost. Consider the 2020 if you need the added seating flexibility or want to pay more for a newer model with hybrid options.
