How much does the 2019 Kia Soul cost?

Is the 2019 Kia Soul a good car?

With a 3.9/5 user rating, the 2019 Kia Soul looks like a solid fit if you want a practical small vehicle with personality. Owners most often praise its roomy interior, smooth and quiet ride, and strong value for the money, while also noting decent performance for a compact car.

That lines up well with the Soul’s use case as a compact vehicle that prioritises everyday usefulness over flash. It offers a boxy shape, a more polished cabin, and useful cargo space, so it works well if you want something easy to live with and a little more distinctive than a typical hatchback.

The market also looks fairly supportive, with 32.2% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2019 Kia Soul reliable?

The 2019 Kia Soul is presented as a practical, value-focused small vehicle with a roomy cabin and a smooth, quiet ride. In owner feedback, the strongest reliability-adjacent themes are that it feels dependable for daily use, offers decent long-term value, and can be a trouble-free choice when maintained properly.

At the same time, used buyers should be careful about condition and repair history, because ownership risk rises quickly if the car has been poorly maintained or misrepresented.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Kia Soul?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every good example to disappear immediately.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 177 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.81% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,489 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Kia Soul's resale value?

The current average of $12,489 CAD sits slightly below last year's $15,382 CAD.

That drop suggests the Soul has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing means your future resale value will likely depend heavily on mileage, condition, and service records.

For a seller, the upside is that the Soul’s practical packaging and value reputation can still support demand. The downside is that the market is already pricing it below last year’s level, so strong presentation and a clean history will matter more if you want to protect your return.

Should I buy a 2019 Kia Soul or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.81% compared with last year.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $15,138 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $12,489 CAD average.
• It adds a more modern, refined redesign.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the better value play if you want the Soul’s space and personality at a lower entry price. If you can stretch for the 2020, you’ll pay more, but you may prefer its newer design and broader appeal.
