Is the 2019 Kia Sorento a good car?

Yes — 4.6/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. Is the 2019 Kia Sorento reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that many owners find comfortable, practical, and easy to live with over time. Mentions of a smooth ride and strong value suggest a model that can be dependable for regular family use, especially if you choose a well-maintained example. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been cared for properly, since condition matters more once you move into the used market.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Kia Sorento?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 375 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.18% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,471 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Kia Sorento's resale value?

The current average of $15,471 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,908 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Sorento has become more accessible for used buyers, which can also shape future resale expectations. If you buy at today's average, you may have less room for appreciation than a year ago, but you are also entering at a lower cost basis. For a future seller, that means condition, mileage, and trim quality will matter even more when it comes time to list the vehicle.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 Sorento makes the most sense if you want a well-rounded used midsize SUV with strong value, a comfortable cabin, and useful three-row flexibility. If you are more price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a similar vehicle is available at a lower asking price or with a better equipment mix.
