How much does the 2019 Kia Sorento cost?

Prices have softened 18.90% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 368 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of choice in the used market.

Is the 2019 Kia Sorento a good car?

Yes — the 4.62/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its comfortable ride, spacious interior, and strong value, and many also like the third-row seating and smooth road manners. For you, that makes it a sensible pick if you want a practical midsize SUV with family-friendly space and everyday comfort. With 31.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Kia Sorento reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, especially those who value comfort and value over flash. That said, some owners mention concerns with certain engine options, so the specific vehicle’s maintenance history matters. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing a poorly maintained example, so a careful inspection and service-record review are important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Kia Sorento?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 368 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.90% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,823 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Kia Sorento's resale value?

The current average of $15,847 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,541 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can be good news if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. If you own one, the softer pricing means your resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and service history. A well-kept example should still hold appeal because shoppers continue to value the Sorento’s space and comfort.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.90% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 Sorento is a strong choice if you want a well-rounded midsize SUV with good value, a comfortable ride, and family-friendly space. If your priority is getting the most for your money, this year looks especially appealing right now. If you are more price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years to see whether a slightly older or newer Sorento gives you a better balance of equipment and asking price.
