Is the 2019 Kia Forte a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 5/5, which points to strong overall satisfaction. Reviewers consistently praise the impressive safety features, great gas mileage, and comfortable ride, and many also see it as a strong value compared with pricier alternatives. The main recurring trade-off is that some shoppers find the interior a bit basic. With 32.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have a solid chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2019 Kia Forte reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also points to a dependable ownership experience, with owners describing it as a vehicle they’re happy to keep and count on. That kind of feedback suggests the 2019 Forte has the sort of trouble-free reputation used buyers usually want.

For a used buyer, the main long-term risk is less about owner sentiment and more about finding a well-kept example, so condition and maintenance history still matter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Kia Forte?

It’s a moderate market, which means you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 246 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.65% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,697 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Kia Forte's resale value?

The current average of $13,697 CAD sits slightly below last year's $15,504 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can make future resale a little more challenging if you buy at the wrong point in the cycle. If you purchase carefully and keep the car in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it’s time to sell. The Forte’s strong owner satisfaction should help support demand, even if pricing remains competitive.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Kia Forte or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 Kia Forte is a strong choice if you want a well-liked compact car with good value and a market that still offers some negotiating room. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may also want to compare nearby years, but the 2019 stands out as the better pick when you want a balance of owner satisfaction, pricing, and available inventory.
