Is the 2016 Kia Forte a good car?

Generally — the 2016 Kia Forte earns a user rating of 4/5, which points to solid owner satisfaction for shoppers comparing used compact cars. That kind of rating suggests the model is worth a close look if you want a value-focused daily driver. With 19.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to find a competitively priced example.

Is the 2016 Kia Forte reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

For used buyers, that suggests the biggest ownership risk is less about broad reputation and more about how well a specific car has been maintained over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Kia Forte?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 19.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 88 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.64% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $7,927 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Kia Forte's resale value?

The current average of $8,102 CAD sits slightly below last year's $9,604 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, the current softness means your return will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. A well-kept example should still appeal to budget-minded shoppers looking for value.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Kia Forte or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 19.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Kia Forte makes the most sense if you want a used compact car with a lower average price and some deal potential in the market. If you’re price-sensitive, this year is worth targeting first; if you’re comparing across nearby years, you can also use the 2016 as a benchmark for value and then decide whether a newer model justifies the extra cost.
