Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Kia Forte?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 299 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.74% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,067 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Kia Forte's resale value?

The current average of $16,067 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,844 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a mixed signal if you're thinking about resale. On one hand, it means today's buyers may be getting a better entry point than shoppers did a year ago. On the other hand, it also suggests the market has already adjusted downward, so future resale gains may be more limited unless demand strengthens.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Kia Forte or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 30.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $17,837 CAD, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $16,067 CAD average.
• It adds sharper styling plus updated infotainment and driver-assist tech.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2021 if you want the better value and a lower entry price. If you are willing to pay more for newer styling and updated technology, the 2022 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2021 remains the smarter buy.
