How much does the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD cost?

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its performance, especially the Duramax Diesel engine, along with its dependable, capable nature for towing and hauling. It also suits you well if you want a heavy-duty truck with a more modern, better-equipped cabin and useful technology for work or everyday use. With 21.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights the truck as dependable and trouble-free in the kinds of jobs it is built for, especially towing and hauling. That kind of owner confidence matters if you plan to keep a used heavy-duty truck for the long haul.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the truck’s core capability and more about finding one that has been maintained properly given the demands heavy-duty use can place on it.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right truck.

• Deal availability: 21.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 56 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.72% compared with last year. If you find a listing below $34,360 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD's resale value?

The current average of $38,381 CAD sits slightly below last year's $39,052 CAD.

That modest decline suggests the market has softened a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper short-term resale gains if you plan to sell soon. Even so, the truck’s strong owner satisfaction and capability-focused appeal should help it stay relevant with shoppers who need serious towing and hauling strength. If you buy well and keep mileage and condition in check, you should be in a reasonable position when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 21.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used heavy-duty truck with strong owner approval, useful technology, and a market that still offers some deal opportunities, the 2019 is a sensible place to focus. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, you may also want to compare nearby years and shop whichever one gives you the best condition and equipment for your budget.
