Is the 2019 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Chevrolet Colorado earns a 4.7/5 user rating, and owners consistently praise its performance, comfort, and style. You also get a spacious interior and strong power delivery, especially if you’re looking at the V6 or ZR2 versions. For you, that makes it a practical midsize pickup if you want more utility than a compact truck and a more polished driving experience than many buyers expect from this class. With 27.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s a meaningful share of the market worth considering.

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as dependable and satisfying over time, with many highlighting a trouble-free ownership experience and confidence in the truck’s overall durability. That said, the model’s reliability reputation is tempered by transmission concerns in this generation, so you should pay close attention to service history and how the truck drives on a test route. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure you avoid examples with unresolved drivetrain issues.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Colorado?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 115 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.95% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,964 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $28,986 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,489 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be a mixed signal if you plan to sell later. On one hand, softer pricing can make it easier for you to buy in now; on the other, it means future resale gains may be limited unless the truck is especially well equipped or well maintained. Stronger trims and desirable configurations should hold buyer interest better than base versions.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a Colorado with strong owner satisfaction and a market that has eased a bit, the 2019 is a sensible primary target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-equipped examples rather than the cheapest base trims.
