How much does the 2018 RAM 3500 cost?

Is the 2018 RAM 3500 a good car?

Yes — the 2018 RAM 3500 earns a 5/5 user rating, which is a strong sign that owners are very satisfied with it. Owners consistently praise its heavy-towing capability, comfortable ride, sturdy build, and thoughtful design, and they also note its fuel economy for a larger truck. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a heavy-duty truck that feels more refined without giving up its work-ready identity. With 31.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2018 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable, trouble-free, and well suited to long-term use, especially if you need serious towing strength. Because reviews do not surface major recurring complaints, your used-buying risk looks more manageable than it might for a truck with more mixed owner feedback.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 135 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.37% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $44,727 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $47,161 CAD sits slightly below last year's $49,837 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means a future resale may not benefit from strong short-term appreciation. If you plan to sell later, your return will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the truck has been maintained. Strong demand for capable heavy-duty trucks can still support value, especially when the vehicle has a reputation for satisfying owners.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with strong owner approval, the 2018 is the primary year to target. It makes the most sense if you value a refined cabin, serious towing ability, and a market that still offers some deal potential. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may also want to compare nearby years for a lower entry price, but the 2018 remains the better all-around choice for most shoppers.
