Is the 2021 RAM 3500 a good car?

Yes — the 2021 RAM 3500 earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its towing capability, handling with heavy loads, and spacious cab, and many also appreciate the ride quality compared with competitors. It fits especially well if you want a heavy-duty truck that can handle demanding jobs while still feeling more polished and comfortable than a stripped-down workhorse. With 32.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2021 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that many drivers feel they can count on for heavy-duty use, especially when it comes to towing and handling loads. The repeated praise for performance and overall satisfaction suggests solid dependability in day-to-day ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the truck’s core capability and more about finding one that has been maintained properly and not overworked.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 215 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.07% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $53,501 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $58,143 CAD sits slightly below last year's $61,247 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has eased, which can make the truck more attractive to buyers now but may also mean a seller needs to price carefully to stay competitive. If you buy at today's average, you may have less immediate downside than someone who bought when prices were higher. Strong demand for heavy-duty trucks can still support future value, especially for well-equipped examples with desirable features and clean histories. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2021 is a strong choice if you want a heavy-duty truck with proven owner satisfaction, a softer price trend, and a decent pool of listings to compare. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth a look, but the 2021 stands out as the better all-around pick when you want capability and comfort together.
