How much does the 2018 RAM 3500 cost?

Prices have softened 1.51% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 118 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 RAM 3500 a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its heavy-towing ability, comfortable ride, sturdy build, and thoughtful design, and the review summary also highlights its performance and power. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a heavy-duty truck that can handle serious towing while still feeling more comfortable and refined than a basic work truck. With 25.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also some market room to shop carefully.

Is the 2018 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary suggests owners see it as dependable and trouble-free enough to keep them happy over time, with no major dislikes standing out in the feedback. That kind of response matters if you want a used heavy-duty truck you can count on for long-term ownership. For you as a buyer, the main risk is less about owner sentiment and more about choosing a well-maintained example that has been used responsibly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 RAM 3500?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some confidence if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 25.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 118 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.51% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $44,727 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $47,861 CAD sits slightly below last year's $48,592 CAD.

That tells you the market has eased a bit, which can make the truck more attractive to used buyers today but slightly less favourable if you are thinking about future resale. If you buy at the right price, you may have a better chance of preserving value because your starting point is already below the prior-year average. The fact that prices have softened also suggests sellers may need to be more realistic when listing a truck like this.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 25.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with strong owner approval, the 2018 is the better primary target because it combines solid market availability with a softer price trend. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best condition and equipment for the money, but the 2018 already looks like a sensible place to start.
