This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and focused.

• Deal availability: 30% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 60 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.75% compared with last year.

What is the 2018 Porsche 911's resale value?

The current average of $174,370 CAD sits slightly below last year's $197,583 CAD.

That kind of price movement suggests the market has cooled from a year ago, which can be helpful if you’re buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. Even so, the 911’s strong reputation and broad appeal help support demand over time. If you keep the car in good condition and buy at the right price, you may be better positioned when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 30% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.75% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a 911 that balances strong owner satisfaction, a softer price trend, and a wide range of performance choices, the 2018 is a compelling pick. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-priced examples, since the market still shows meaningful variation across listings.
