Yes — the 2018 Porsche 911 earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction.

Owners consistently praise its performance, precise handling, and the thrill it delivers on both regular roads and tracks. The 911’s rear-engine layout and boxer six-cylinder character also help it feel special in everyday driving, while the overall package still offers enough refinement for buyers who want more than a pure track toy.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in the ways that matter to enthusiasts: it delivers consistent performance, a strong driving experience, and the kind of long-term appeal that keeps buyers interested. The repeated praise for its flat-6 engine and driving dynamics suggests a model that owners feel confident living with over time.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the car’s core appeal and more about finding one that has been maintained properly and not overused or modified.

The current average of $172,126 CAD sits slightly below last year's $199,188 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means a future seller may need to price carefully to stay competitive. Because the current average is still well above the year-round low, there is some support under the market, especially for well-kept examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used 911 with strong owner approval and a softer price trend, the 2018 is a sensible place to focus. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years to see whether a lower entry price outweighs the 2018’s stronger market position and owner satisfaction.
