The owner feedback also highlights reliability, low maintenance costs, and a trouble-free ownership experience, which are exactly the kinds of traits used buyers tend to look for in a luxury SUV. Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Lexus RX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 111 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.05% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,521 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $32,521 CAD sits slightly below last year's $33,894 CAD.

That kind of price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you own one for the long term and keep it in good condition, the RX’s reputation for comfort and reliability should help support demand when it is time to sell. A softer market today does not erase the model’s appeal, but it does mean resale value will depend more on mileage, condition, and maintenance history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.64/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.64/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Lexus RX is the right choice if you want a comfortable, dependable luxury SUV with strong owner approval and a market that still offers some deal potential. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of price, condition, and service history.
