Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Kia Forte?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 174 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.04% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,602 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Kia Forte's resale value?

The current average of $10,602 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,627 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a plus if you’re buying now, but it also means a future resale may need time to recover if market conditions stay weak. For you as a seller, the current trend suggests you should expect more price sensitivity from buyers than you would in a stronger market. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Kia Forte or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a good primary pick if you want a used Forte with solid owner feedback and a lower average price than last year. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a slightly older model gives you a better entry point, but the 2018 already looks attractive for value-focused shoppers.
