Yes — the 2018 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.75/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Is the 2018 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to reliability and a trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with several noting that it feels dependable over time. The broader appeal comes from a family-focused design that buyers expect to hold up well in regular use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that early examples of this generation have drawn complaints about electrical glitches, infotainment issues, and transmission problems, so a careful inspection and maintenance review matter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right one.

• Deal availability: 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 217 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.11% compared with last year.

What is the 2018 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $24,483 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,544 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. Strong demand from family shoppers can help support values, especially when the vehicle is well equipped and presents cleanly.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a well-equipped family minivan with strong owner approval and a softer price than a year ago, the 2018 is a sensible primary target. If you're especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, history, and asking price.
