Is the 2018 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spaciousness, comfort, and family-friendly features, and many also highlight its reliability and modern design. That fits well if you want a family minivan with seating for seven, a generous feature set, and long-trip comfort. With 31.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2018 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also points to reliability, with many owners describing it as dependable and well suited to long-term family use. The overall impression is that you can count on it for everyday duties, especially if you choose one with a solid maintenance record. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that early-generation examples can show electrical, infotainment, or transmission concerns, so a careful inspection matters.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 253 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.61% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,941 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $24,015 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,798 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Odyssey more attractive to you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, but the recent decline means future sellers should expect a more price-sensitive market than before.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2018 if you want a well-equipped, highly rated minivan and you can find one priced near the lower end of the market. If you are especially price-sensitive, it can also make sense to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, maintenance history, and asking price.
