How much does the 2018 Honda CR-V cost?

Is the 2018 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 4.73/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Reviewers consistently praise the CR-V for its value, comfort, spacious interior, good gas mileage, and useful tech features. That lines up well with its role as a practical compact crossover for small families, commuters, and anyone who wants everyday usefulness without moving up to a larger SUV. With 28.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.73/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that feels dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, with buyers repeatedly highlighting its long-term value and easy ownership experience. That kind of reputation matters if you want a used SUV you can count on for commuting, family duty, and regular errands.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying too much for a well-liked model, so condition and maintenance history still matter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda CR-V?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 802 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.60% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,416 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $20,513 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,470 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the CR-V easier to buy now but slightly less favourable if you're planning to sell soon. If you own one, the softer pricing means your resale value may not be as strong as it was a year ago, especially if your vehicle has average mileage or visible wear. Even so, the model's broad appeal and practical reputation should help it stay competitive with other compact SUVs.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.73/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.73/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $22,568 CAD, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $20,513 CAD average.
• It adds a more refined, roomy feel with strong fuel economy and lively performance.

The bottom line: The 2018 is the better starting point if you want a lower entry price and plenty of practical value. If you can stretch your budget and want a newer-feeling alternative with a stronger emphasis on refinement, the 2019 is the better secondary path.
