The recurring praise for its trouble-free feel, strong performance, and long-term appeal suggests that it can be a reassuring used buy if it has been maintained properly. This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 924 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.19% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,109 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $20,109 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,164 CAD.

That price movement suggests the truck has become more affordable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than they would have a year ago. If you buy now, you may not see rapid appreciation, so resale value will depend more on condition, mileage, and how well the truck is equipped. A well-kept example should still hold interest because shoppers continue to value this model’s comfort and versatility.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.82/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?
