Strong condition, clean history, and desirable equipment will matter more if you want to protect value later.

Should I buy a 2014 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 18.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $16,979 CAD, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $15,115 CAD average.
• It adds a more polished, attention-getting design.

The bottom line:
You should start with the 2014 if you want the better value and a strong owner-satisfaction profile. If you can stretch your budget and want a newer-feeling alternative, the 2015 is worth a look, but price-sensitive buyers will likely find the 2014 easier to justify.
