Used 2017 Nissan Sentra for Sale nearYork, ON

How much does the 2017 Nissan Sentra cost?

Prices have softened 16.76% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 132 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 Nissan Sentra a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Nissan Sentra earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its reliable nature, efficient fuel use, and smooth driving experience, and many also like its attractive styling. For you, that makes it a sensible choice if you want a practical compact sedan with low running costs and everyday usability. With 34.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Nissan Sentra reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights it as reliable, efficient, and generally trouble-free in day-to-day use, with many drivers saying they appreciate how dependable it feels over time. That said, the CVT transmission concerns are part of the ownership story, so a careful used-car inspection matters. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the transmission has been well maintained and behaves properly on a test drive.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan Sentra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can afford to be choosy while still acting quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 132 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.76% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $9,569 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $9,569 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,496 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy now, you may be entering at a lower point in the cycle than owners did a year ago. Strong value retention will depend on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 Sentra makes the most sense if you want a value-focused compact sedan with strong owner satisfaction, good fuel economy, and a market that currently favours shoppers. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may also be worth comparing, but the 2017 stands out if you want the balance of lower pricing and solid owner approval.
