Used 2017 Nissan Sentra for Sale nearKingston, ON

How much does the 2017 Nissan Sentra cost?

Prices have softened 20.47% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 136 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Nissan Sentra a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for this model year, and that lines up with the way owners describe it as a reliable, efficient compact sedan with great gas mileage. Reviewers also commonly point to its smooth driving experience and favourable aesthetics, while the overview highlights its roomy interior and practical, everyday packaging. For you, that makes it a sensible fit if you want an affordable commuter sedan that prioritises comfort and value over flash. With 33.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also a decent amount of market value to explore.

Is the 2017 Nissan Sentra reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also describes it as reliable, efficient, and a car many drivers feel good about living with day to day. At the same time, some owners mention CVT-related concerns, so reliability is strongest when you focus on examples with clean service history and careful transmission behaviour on a test drive. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is manageable, but only if you inspect the transmission closely before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan Sentra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 136 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.47% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $9,154 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $9,154 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,511 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you own one for a few years, resale performance will likely depend on how well the car is maintained and how confidently a buyer feels about the transmission. Because the Sentra is positioned as a practical, value-focused sedan, clean condition and documented maintenance matter a lot when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of value, owner satisfaction, and current pricing, the 2017 is a sensible place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still work, but the 2017 stands out as a balanced choice when you want a practical compact sedan with strong market appeal.
